This Privacy Policy explains how Bonsai Pop-Up LLC ("Bonsai Pop-Up," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, send us an inquiry, or attend one of our events.

What we collect

Information you give us.

Waitlist: your email address.
Private event inquiries: your name, email address, and, if you choose to share them, your organization, group size, preferred dates, and notes about your event.
Messages: anything you include when you email us.
Tickets: when ticket sales open, the name, email, and payment details you provide are collected by our ticketing and payment provider under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, and order details, never your full card number.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, to keep the site running and secure. We do not use advertising trackers. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the font files are requested.

How we use it

To tell you when workshop dates open and to send you occasional emails about Bonsai Pop-Up events. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
To answer your inquiries and plan private events with you.
To run and improve the website and our events.
To comply with law and protect our rights and the safety of our guests.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to operate the business, and they may process your information on our behalf:

Email and customer-relationship providers that store our contact list and send our emails.
Website hosting providers.
Ticketing and payment providers, once ticket sales open.

These providers may use your information only to provide their services to us. We may also share information if required by law, or to protect Bonsai Pop-Up, our guests, or the public.

Photos and video at events

We sometimes take photos and short videos at our workshops to share what a pop-up night looks like. If you'd rather not appear, just let a host know at the event and we'll make sure you're left out.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message.
Access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing us at the address below. We'll respond within a reasonable time and will not treat you differently for making a request.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any sale or sharing (we don't sell or share it). To exercise any of these rights, email us.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you're on our list or as long as we need it to work with you on an event, and afterward only as long as the law requires. Unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information and we'll remove it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use your judgment about what you share with us.

Age

Our website and mailing list are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Event age requirements are listed on each event page, and you must be 21 or older to drink at our events.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced by email to people on our list.
